Lady Maid Maid

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A LONG DRAMA

I passed this drama over several times because I saw the outfit Nicholas Teo was in, and even though I like him, I thought it was corny. Also the idea of him having a kid wasn't that appealing and I felt it was the main point of the drama initially. However, while watching Zhong Wu Yan and afraid that I wouldn't find another good drama after it was over, I finally decided to give LMM a chance, mostly because it has a lot of episodes.

The thing that got me hooked right away was the opening song, so catchy, and then the opening scene really drew me in and I thought it was different. Nicholas Teo also has a sweet, caring side to him that he can't help and I thought that was unique.  I love how he's intentionally silly and makes people laugh <3

Love that the antagonist to Nicholas Teo's character too, Xiang Lei, is cute =p. Nick as Spiderman and Xiang Lei as Superman is pretty awesome too.

Xiang Lei's fear of girls and how Shu Qi and I think GXJ helps solve it was an unexpected twist.

FUNNY A lot of comical moments in this drama, quite exaggerated, but part of the fun and I believe the intention. Love when Gao Xiao Jie and Qiu Qiu are both acting like kids, the fact that Xiang Lei's face is taped up with animal bandages and he's wearing a cone and how the doctor wraps up Xiang Lei's hand. They break up serious moments quite nice =p.

The fact that Gao Xiao Jie goes back to his exes to find out who is his kid's mom is pretty neat. Imagine doing that in real life.  I have imagined going back to my crushes and clarifying things and wondering if any of my imaginings had anything to it. Though each of them hated and were hurt by Gao Xiao Jie, they also thanked him because he helped them in some way/they learned something.  It also brings to light how you treat people and to consider other people's feelings more carefully.

It's interesting too the role Shu Qi is in, because it puts her in a lot of different situations and though crazy, I think it would be fun, though I'm nowhere near Shu Qi's ability.

I like the switch from Shu Qi being madly in love with GXJ to him falling for her and feeling and saying things like her and then being oblivious and in denial.  Also, the jealousy and GXJ's inability to express how he feels to Shu Qi, from brother to sister to Batman's Batmobile xp LOL.

The way Shu Qi and GXJ get along is so comfortable and silly. The fake kissy scene and her smile/laughter after.
